Do Phuong Nhi (born 16 November 1998) into a music family. Her parents are violinists.

She began to study violin at the age of 4, with Merited Artist Ngo Van Thanh. She has showed her special passion for music since her early age. At age 11, she made her solo debut with the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra at the Hanoi Opera House.

She is currently studying at the Barratt-Due institute of Music, in Oslo where she is a student of Stephan Barratt-Due and Alf Richard Kraggerud. Former teacher at Barratt-Due is also Sigyn Fossnes.

Do Phuong Nhi had successfully concerts in the Toyota Concert Tour 2011 and 2013, accompanied by the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of the conductor Tetsuji-Honna

In 2015 Do Phuong Nhi won first prize at the “Sparre Olsen” competition for young talent in Gjøvik, Norway.

As an active soloist, Nhi has even played with a number of domestic and overseas orchestras including Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Hanoi Strings Chamber Orchestra. Forsvarets-Musikk, Romerike Symphony Orchestra,TrondheimSolistene in Norway and the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra in USA.
